A new year, a fresh start

Hi everybody,
What are you stitching on? Do you have anything special to start on New Years Day? I have been working on making lots of little washcloths (crochet) and having lots of fun with them. I also have been working on a design by Sampler Girl called Aunt Clara's Skating Sampler 1891. I am changing the name on it and adding mine since my husband and I use to ice skate together in the 70's I thought I would make a reference to that instead of Aunt Clara. I am sure she will forgive me. LOL

I hope to have this finished by the end of the week and maybe it will be my very first finish of 2010.

Here is what I have done so far on my Berry Time. It is such a pretty design and makes me want to run out and pick some berries. Yummy!

Here is what I have done so far on my It's Berry Time. I am stitching it with Gentle Arts Cranberry. I have 4 skeins and each one looks different so I am stitching with a thread from each one skein at a time and I am liking the way itlooks. Confusing? just a bit, but I am sure it will look great when finished.

It's Berry Time

This design is just so sweet. I am going to start it this very day. I chose the color cranberry to stitch mine. I liked it much better then the color that it called for which when I looked at it in the store it had a bit of rusty green to it. Where as cranberry was just so many rich reds in it, the perfect colors of berries that I like.
Who else is stitching along.
So far I have
Janice
Me,
Bonnie
Kathy
come on and join the fun, this is a perfect summer stitch design.

"It's Berry Time"

I believe that several of us have started "It's Berry Time" (Bonnie, Kathy and I at the very least) while others have purchased the supplies (Sharon and ???). So perhaps we can SAL together and make some progress before the leaves begin to change!

Por fin.....

Here, finally, is my "Sunflower Inn" complete with French knots that I need to check-out in natural daylight tomorrow before taking to the frame shop.
